By LISA HLAVINKA Staff Writer The word “boomers” was invented to describe babies born after World War II, but now it might be used to describe the whopping increase of senior citizens in Medina County. From 1990 to 2000, Medina County’s senior population grew 32 percent, the largest increase out of seven Northeast Ohio counties, the Scripps Gerontology Institute reported.
